Lyn Constable Maxwell is a professional sculptor who lives and works in the Loire Valley in France. She studied sculpture at the Byam Shaw and Heatherly Schools of art and her numerous public and private commissions include large site-related pieces, such as the memorial to the Aberfan mining disaster, plus smaller commemorative pieces, animals and portraits.

Lyn especially enjoys teaching sculpture to groups and on a one to one basis, and making this very satisfying art form more accessible to people who may not have had a chance to try it out before. Her courses in clay modelling at her studio in France enable her to share her experience of working in the figurative tradition in a stimulating and above all encouraging way. Absolute beginners are most welcome.

"Lyn Constable Maxwell responds equally to the inner and outer worlds with a most sensitive awareness of their relationships. This intuitive perception is the outstanding quality of her drawings and sculptures. Intense interest in the object which engages her feelings imbues her work with a deep compassion, as well as an understanding of rhythm as the basis of life, and of the essential bond between man and nature."      Anne Baring
